THERISSO A.E. since 2012 is also active in the development of renewable energy sources (RES) projects, mainly solar plants, with the prospect of expansion in wind projects. An investor in RES itself, with a portfolio of up to 200MW, THERISSO owns the implementation of green energy turnkey projects  – from the licensing process to the operation of the system and the delivery to its owner or the after sales services, which comprise monitoring of the operation and the system’s maintenance.

Some historic facts:

The company took its name from the homonymous historic village of Therissos in the prefecture of Chania that played an important role in the various revolutionary movements of 19th century Crete, most notably the movement against Prince George, led by EleftheriosEleftheos.

Therissos is located 16 km south of the city of Chania.
